How Recipients Are Selected

After the nomination period closes, the Takin' Cara Business Board will carefully review each nomination in a private meeting. Board members thoughtfully consider every submission and select the recipient who will receive the fundraising proceeds based on the information provided in the nomination.

To ensure a fair and respectful process, all discussions and decisions remain confidential. We encourage nominators to share as much detail as possible about their nominee's journey and circumstances, as this helps the Board make an informed decision.

We are honored to support members of our community who are facing the challenges of a cancer diagnosis, and we appreciate everyone who takes the time to submit a nomination.
