The Takin Cara Business Foundation is dedicated to bringing hope, comfort, and strength to individuals and families in Northeast Arkansas who are battling cancer. We provide financial support that can be used however recipients choose—whether for daily needs, special experiences, or moments of joy—because we believe healing extends beyond medical care. Our mission is to ease burdens, support mental well-being, and remind families they are not alone in their fight.

  • Our first year! We hosted a 5K race at the Walnut Ridge City Park. Roughly 50 runners participated and with the combined sponsorships we were able to donate $2000.00 to MD Anderson Cancer Treatment Center.

  • We hosted a 5K race at the Walnut Ridge City Park. Roughly 80 runners participated, and with combined sponsorships we were able to donate $2,500.00 to MD Anderson Cancer Treatment.

  • We hosted a 5K race at the Walnut Ridge City Park. Roughly 75 runners were in attendance and we were able to donate $2,500 to MD Anderson Cancer Treatment Center.

  • NEW MISSION! We decided to keep our funding local, and give to a person in Northeast Arkansas battling cancer. Our recipient was Ellie Heinzman, a young student who tragically passed away before the race. We were able to assist her family with funeral costs and other needs.

  • We tripled our fundraising efforts! The 2025 recipient, Tonya Hankins, received over $11,000! Tonya is currently battling pancreatic cancer and the proceeds from our events helped her and her husband navigate through stressful times.
